Our Story
From a timeshare office where Yenis was Sung’s boss, their friendship blossomed in the most unexpected way. What began as a professional relationship quickly turned into genuine companionship—gym sessions, theme park adventures, and an escape room experience that made it clear this was something more than friendship.
Their love story soon became an adventure. Their very first trip together was to Colombia, where they attended a wedding in Medellín—a moment that unknowingly planted the seed for their own future celebration. From there, their shared passion for travel (and food!) took them across the world. As proud self-proclaimed foodies, they’ve explored cuisines wherever they go—so much so that their love for Peruvian food inspired a trip to Peru just to taste it at the source. From Colombia to Peru, then on to Hawaii, Venice, Rome, and many other destinations, every journey has been about discovering new flavors, cultures, and memories together.
Along the way, they built a life side by side—purchasing their first home, then a second apartment to rent, and eventually making the big move from Virginia to Orlando, carrying their dreams (and a lot of boxes) with them. Their journey also grew into a family, and Sung lovingly “retired” Yenis so she could stay home with their four-year-old while he took on the role of providing and supporting their family—a partnership rooted in love, trust, and shared purpose.
One year ago, after traveling through Hawaii and visiting multiple islands, Sung—along with their little one—planned a surprise that Yenis would never forget. As the sun set over the ocean in Maui, with waves crashing and hearts full, Sung asked Yenis to marry him in the most meaningful way possible.
Each chapter of their journey has brought them closer together, and now, they’re ready to start the next one as husband and wife.
